BA ZHEN TANG (Eight-Treasure Decoction)

Ingredients: Folium Mori, Flos Chrysanthemi, Semen Armeniacae Amarum, Fructus Forsythiae, etc.

Actions: Disperses wind and clears heat, diffuses the lung to stop cough.

Indications: Onset of wind and warm syndrome marked by cough, mild body fever, slight thirst, a floating and rapid pulse.

BAN XIA XIE XIN TANG (Pinellia Heart-Draining Decoction)

Ingredients: Rhizoma Pinelliae, Radix Scutekkariae, Radix Ginseng, Rhizoma(Coptidis,cetc.

Actions: Regulates the stomach the lowering the adverse flow of qi, relieves stagnation and fullness.

Indications: Disorder of the stomach qi marked by epigastric fullness without pain, retching or vomiting, borborygmus, diarrhea, thin, yellow and greasy tongue coating, taut and rapid pulse.

BU ZHONG YI QI TANG (Middle-Tonifying Qi-Replenishing Decoction)

Ingredients: Astragalus Root, Pilosulae, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macroephapae, Chinese Angelica, etc.

Actions: Replenishes the qi and strengthens the spleen, elevates the spleen yang to treat qi collapse.

Indications:

1. Qi deficiency syndrome of the spleen and stomach marked by short breath and disinclination to talk, low and weak voice, pale complexion, fatigue, poor appetite, loose stools, pale tongue with whitish coating, and large forceless pulse.

2. Syndrome of the sinking of spleen-qi marked by hysteroptosis, gastroptosis, protracted diarrhea and protracteddysentery, metrostaxis, short breath, fatigue, pale tongue, and weak pulse.

3. Fever due to deficiency of middle-qii markedi by fever with spontaneous sweating, thirst with desire for hot drink, short ibreath, fatigue, pale tongue, and large forceless pulse.

GUAN XIN SHU TANG (Coronary Disease Treatment Decoction)

Ingredients: Semen Persicae, Flos Carthami, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong. Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae, etc.

Actions: Promoting blood circulation by removing blood stasis, promoting circulation of qi to relieve pain.

Indications: Heart blood stasis type of coronary heart disease,disease see cardiothoracic pain,as a thorn as hank,sore fixed,especially in the night,palpitation restless.

LI ZHONG TANG (Regulate the middle)

Ingredients: Radix Ginseng, Rhizoma Zingiberis, Radix Glycyrrhizae, Rhizoma AtractylodisMacrocephalaeActions: Warms the middle energizer and dispels cold, tonifies qi and strengthens the spleen.

Indications:

1. Asthenic cold of the spleen and stomach marked by vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain relieved by warming and pressing, anorexia, aversion to cold, cold limbs, pale tongue with white tongue coating, deep and thready pulse.

2. Yang deficiency with bleeding marked by hemoptysis, nosebleed, hemafecia, metrorrhagia, dull blood color and cold limbs.

3. Obstruction of chest gi maked by infantile chronic infantile convulsion, or predilection for spitting saliva after recovery from diseases due to asthenic cold of the spleen and stomach.

LONG DAN XIE GAN TANG (Gentian Liver-Draining Decoction)

Ingredients: Radix Gentianae, Radix Scutellariae, Fructus Gardeniae, Rhizoma Alismatis, etc.

Actions: Purges the sthenic fire of the liver and gallbladder, removes dampness and hears from the lower energizer.

Indications: Sthenic fire flaming up syndrome of the liver and gallbladder marked by hypochondriac pain, headache, conjunctival congestion, bitter taste, deafness, swelling of ear, red tongue with yellow tongue coating, taut, rapid and forceful pulse.

MA HUANG TANG (Ephedra Decoction)

Ingredients: Herba Ephedrae, Ramulus Cinnamomi, Semen Armeniacae Amarum, RadixGlycyrrhizae Praeparata.

Actions: Induces sweating to release the exterior, diffuses the lung and relieves :asthma.

Indications: Exterior syndrome of excess type due to exopathic wind-cold markedlby aversion to cold, fever without perspiration, headache, pantalgia, dyspnea, thin:and white coating of the tongue, superficial and tight pulse.

MAN SHU NING TANG (Mann Serax Decoction)

Ingredients: Radix pseudostellariae, Leaf of purple perilla , Winter Mulberry Leaf, Caulis Perillae.

Actions: Promoting the dispersing function of the lung, resolving phlegm, relieving cough and reducing sputum.

Indications: Chronic bronchitis and asthma, cough

NING KE YIN (Cough Decoction)

Ingredients: Winter Mulberry Leaf, Platycodon Root, Tatarian Aster Root, Sessile Stemona Root, etc.

Actions: Nourish the lung and relieve cough.

Indications: It is used for cold or heat type of cough.

QING DAI YIN (Leukorrhea Decoction)

Ingredients: Phellodendron Bark, Herba Plantaginis, Radix Gentianae, Rhizonma Alismalia,etc.

Actions: Clear away heat and removal of dampness, astringent and arrest leucorrhea.

Indications: It is used for leucorrhea due to damp-heat pathogen, with jaundice, yellow discharge, dark urine and itching vagina.

Indications: Used for Headache dizziness caused by yin deficiency with yang hyperactivity tinnitus forgetful,soreness of waist and knee,five frustrating heat,palpitation and insomnia,hypertension.

SHENG HUA TANG (Generation and Resolution Decoction)

Ingredients: Radicis Agelicae Sinensis, Rhizoma Chuanxiong, Semen Persicae, Exsiccatum Zingiberis Rhizoma, etc.

Actions: Promots blood circulation, nourishes blood, warms meridians and relieves pain.

Indications: Syndrome of blood deficiency and blood stasis due to cold congealing marked by retention of the lochia after delivery, lower abdominal pain, pale tongue with white tongue coating, deep wiry or deep tight pulse.

SHI QUAN DA BU TANG (Ten Powerful Tonics Decoction)

Ingredients: Pilosulae, Astragalus Root, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, etc.

Actions: Warms and tonifies both the qi and blood.

Indications: Deficiency syndrome of both the qi and blood marked by sallow complexion, poor appetite, dizziness, fatigue, palpitation, severe palpitation, spontaneous perspiration and night perspiration, cold extremities, pale tongue and weak pulse, or metrorrhagia, menstrual disorder, unhealed carbuncles and ulcers.

SI WU TANG (Four Ingredients Decoction)

Ingredient: Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Radix Rehmanniae Praeparrata.

Actions: Enriches and regulates the blood.

Indication: Deficiency and stagnancy syndrome of the blood marked by palpitation, insomnia, dizziness, pale complexion, or menstrual disorder, scanty menstruation, or amenia with vague pain of the lower abdomen, pale tongue and thready pulse..


SUAN ZAO REN TANG (Wild Jujube Seeds Decoction)

Ingredients: Semem Zizihi Spinosae, Rhizoma Anemarrhenae, Poria, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong, etc.

Actions: Nourishes the blood and tranquilizes the mind, Chears heat and relieves restlessness.

Indications: Syndrome of the liver-bloodideficiency with disturbance of interior heat marked by insomnia, vexation due to consumption, dizziness, vertigo, dry throat and mouth, reddened tongue, tout and thready pulse.

WU WEI XIAO DU YIN (Five-Ingredients Detox Decoction)

Ingredients: Honeysuckle Flower, Wild Chrysanthemum Flower, Dandelion, etc.

Actions: Clearing away heat and toxic substances, removing malignant boil.

Indications: This decoction can be used for all kinds of boils, folliculitis, furuncle and carbuncle.

XIAO QING LONG TANG (Minor Green Dragon Decoction)

Ingredients: Herba Ephedrae, Radix Paeoniae, Herba Asari, Ramulus Cinnamomi, etc.

Actions: Releases the exterior and expels cold, warms the lung and removes fluid retention.

Indications: It is applicable to externally contracted wind-cold with internal injury and water-fluid syndrome. The clinical manifestations are aversion to cold, fever, anhidrosis, chest stuffiness, asthma, cough, profuse thin sputum, or sputum retention, cough with dyspnea, inability to lie in a horizontal position, or body pain with heavy sensation, edema of the face and limbs, whitish and slippery tongue coating and a floating pulse.

XIAO ZHI YIN (Hemorrhoids Decoction)

Ingredients: Ciliatenerve Knotweed Root, Agrimonia pilosa, Phellodendron Bark, Cassia Occidentalis, etc.

Actions: Clearing away pathogenic heat and detoxicating, relieve swelling and pain.

Indications: It is used for internal and external hemorrhoids.

YANG WEI TANG (Gastritis Decoction)

Ingredients: Common Burreed Rhizome, Rhizoma Curcumae, Root of Pilose Asiabell, Rhizoma Corydalis, etc.

Actions: Invigorate Qi, expell cold, promote blood circulation, remove blood stasis, promote Qi circulation and relieve pain.
